*NEW* The 2023 GW Cancer Center Patient Navigator Learning Collaborative seeks to support learners as they complete the Oncology Patient Navigator training. As learners independently complete the online training, the Learning Collaborative sessions will bring learners together for peer-to-peer sharing, discussion, clarification of questions, and application of knowledge learned via case studies. Each 45-minute session, led by a patient navigation expert, will be held virtually on the second Thursday of each month, from 11:00-11:45 am ET (8:00-8:45 am PT).
To register for the Learning Collaborative, visit the event page. Register early to secure your spot!
In 2015, The GW Cancer Center (formerly the GW Cancer Institute) created the first consensus-based competencies for oncology patient navigators without a clinical license, which was accompanied by the Oncology Patient Navigator Training: The Fundamentals and an accompanying guide in English and Spanish.
